Whilst MAP is, fundamentally, a peacebuilding organization, its unique identity lies in its commitment to media as a core tool for peacebuilding. It is always a pleasure to work with media outlets in order to share the concept of Peace Journalism.

MAP Founder, President and Executive Director Ms. Vanessa Bassil was interviewed by Al Jazeera Channel highlighting the importance of Peace Journalism and MAP efforts to make media more aware about their crucial role in easing tension and preventing violence.

MAP Founder, President and Executive Director Ms. Vanessa Bassil was interviewed by Deutsche Welle about MAP and its role in Peace Journalism. The interviewer was Ms. Faten Jebai, a professional reporter who was once a trainee at a Peace Journalism workshop given by Ms. Bassil in 2011.

MAP Founder, President and Executive Director Ms. Vanessa Bassil was interviewed live on Sky News Arabia, to talk about MAP’s initiative on reporting about Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Ms. Bassil also spoke of the role of Peace Journalism.

قد تكون وصفة الموسیقى، لمحاكاة أداء إعلامي لتكریس صحافة السلام، مبالغة في مقاربة مفهومین متباعدین، الأول یهذب المشاعر، والثاني ینقل ما یؤججها… لكن منظمة إعلام للسلام (MAP- Media Association For Peace) حاولت تقریب المتباعدین،كون الموسیقى عابرة للغات وبالتالي عابرة للخلاف والاختلاف المسؤول الأساس عن تولید العنف.
